What Recruiters Scan For When Reviewing Resumes

According to Business Insider, researchers tracked more than two dozen recruiters. They found that recruiters spend an average of 6 seconds on a resume.

These are what they look at during that 6 seconds:

  1. Name,
  2. Current Company and position,
  3. Start and end date,
  4. Previous Position (and dates),
  5. Education information.
